Tell us on Discord
Section titled “Tell us on Discord”Post in the wiki / guides channels of the Embershroud Discord.
Spotted a wrong stat, a confusing page, or a gap? Post it there. Want to share a build or a strategy write-up? Same place - a maintainer will curate it into the wiki.
The two layers
Section titled “The two layers”Reference pages - Skills, Items, Monsters, Zones and NPCs - are generated directly from the game’s data. A wrong number on one of those pages is a game-data problem, and reporting it on Discord gets it corrected at the source, which updates the page and the game together.
Systems and guides pages, and the Notes section at the bottom of a reference page, are hand-written. That is where strategy, theorycraft, explanations and tips live.
What we are looking for
Section titled “What we are looking for”- Wrong or outdated numbers - the most valuable thing you can report
- Confusing explanations - if a page did not answer your question, that is a bug in the page
- Missing coverage - something you had to work out yourself that should have been written down
- Guides and theorycraft - especially once the playtest is running
A few ground rules for anything that gets curated in:
- Use the terminology the game and wiki already use
- No datamined or unreleased content
- Tag a build guide with the build it applies to, for example “Current for build 0.1.x”
- No exploit guides
- Be excellent to each other
